Victory is sweet...........

So College Oak gave us a good run, with the first 2 legs being very tight, but a runaway victory in the 3rd leg & an emphatic victory in the all important beer leg put us in high spirits. Well played people. Kath if you have any good photos, please email them to me.

Too Sober ?

Away at The Brewery Tap (actually not a bad pub for Abingdon ). Struggled with the parking & the downhill throw. Lost the first 2 legs , but came back strong with a 13 in leg 3, with Dave leading the way with consistently good scoring. Beer leg was a formality with a crushing victory for us, having finally consumed enough beer, and mastered the downhill throw.

Oak win a thriller........

First game, and a loss to The Oak. Despite winning the first leg and the all important beer leg, it will officially be listed as a loss on the league website when this seasons results are published in 2010. Capt Slade should stand tall as top scorer, Tim weighed in second best, Steve was steady, but Peter Kent was fucking useless, with 3 consecutive blobs.
Thankfully Kath was there to kiss everything better.
Home on Wednesday- I think !

Free Beer at The Crispin !

Yes- another stunning victory in the beer leg for our heroic team. This is the first time I have witnessed the opposition buying us drinks half way through the leg, such is our reputation- or is it that they needed the extra time to make Mark's double skinny latte ? Of the other 3 legs played, the first was a glorious victory, the second featured a 6 from their last player, and the third was a cock up. Also of note was the "interesting" after match food, for which a straw would have been handy. Finally congrats to Greene King for not Fu**ing up St Austell Tribute-yet.

Horse & Harrow beaten....

Revenge is sweet, with a comfortable victory against our local rivals. First leg was sealed with great throwing from the Captain, the second secured by Dave & Tim (who jointly top scored on the night with 5 each) and although the third was an aberration, we bounced back strongly to nail the beer leg easily. So the practice is starting to pay off...............
